I was raised by my grandmother, Grandma Helen, in a small town in Ohio. Growing up on her social security benefits, I saw firsthand the struggles of living on a fixed income without sufficient retirement planning. Grandma Helen was an extremely supportive and loving woman, who passed away shortly after I graduated high school. This left me not only heartbroken, but financially unprepared to handle the many expenses involved in the loss of a loved one. I also had no idea what to do next to set up the funeral and burial. This traumatic event inspired me to become a financial professional with a focus on life insurance and retirement planning, so I could help prevent other families and individuals from going through the struggles that I experienced.
